American Job Center is hosting a job fair on January 19

Lake Charles, LA (KPLC) – The American Job Center will be hosting its Quarterly Job Fair on Wednesday, January 19, 2021.

The career fair will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the Lake Charles Civic Center showroom at 900 Lakeshore Drive.

The fair allows job seekers to meet potential employers in person and possibly participate in on-site interviews.

Job seekers are strongly encouraged to wear formal attire and bring photo ID and multiple copies of their current resume. It is advisable to arrive early to have the opportunity to meet the employers.

Pre-registration is not required.

Veterans, who will receive priority services, are asked to arrive at 9 a.m. for exclusive employer access until 9:30 a.m.

In addition, the Louisiana Workforce Commission Mobile Workforce Center will be on-site during the career fair to help job seekers submit online applications, write / print resumes, review their skills, etc.

The American Job Center serves the parishes of Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu Cameron, Jefferson Davis and Vernon.

The job fair is sponsored by the jury of the Parish Police of Calcasieu, in collaboration with the Workforce Development Board and the Louisiana Workforce Commission.

It is funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
