Jeffrey Kolokoff is a lifelong Floridian and serves as a Miami-Dade County Court judge. He presides over the court for misdemeanors, drunk driving, criminal traffic and mental health issues.
Judge Kolokoff spent the first six-plus years of his career as an Assistant State Attorney for Miami-Dade investigating and prosecuting white-collar offences, RICO, drug trafficking, violent crimes, DUI and many other crimes. He served as Deputy Chief of the County Court Division, overseeing thousands of cases and seventy prosecutors. He has tried numerous bench and jury trials, handled contested evidence hearings, pleaded summary judgments and taken hundreds of depositions.
Judge Kolokoff received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Mercer University, where he served on the Mercer Law Review, served as Vice Chairman of the Moot Court Board, and earned his Certificate in Writing, Research and advanced legal writing. Judge Kolokoff is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Florida and the District of Columbia, as well as many other courts.
Judge Kolokoff is a volunteer and mentor with the Miami-Dade County Youth Court Program and the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Mock Trial Program. He previously served as chair of the Florida Bar’s Standing Committee on the Unauthorized Practice of Law and serves on the Florida Bar’s Professional Ethics Committee.
