By Anne Cullen (July 13, 2022, 12:38 p.m. EDT) – A football coach cannot move forward with his discrimination case alleging that the American university refused to hire him because he is Trinidadian and black, the DC Circuit ruled, finding the school’s reason for rejecting his candidacy listed above.
American University said professional football coach David Nakhid’s lack of experience at the college level prompted it to choose another candidate, and the appeals panel said Tuesday that Nakhid had not provided enough evidence to refute this explanation.
