July 7 (Reuters) – Former U.S. President Donald Trump was removed from his post as a director of the board of directors of Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) last month, state documents show, weeks before that the company receives subpoenas from federal authorities.

The Florida Department of State Division of Corporations document, dated June 8, also showed that Donald Trump Jr and Kashyap Patel had been removed as directors.

TMTG did not respond to a request from Reuters for further details on the case.

The company received a subpoena from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on June 27 and another subpoena from a federal grand jury in the Southern District of New York on June 30, according to the regulatory filing. last week. Read more

TMTG agreed to merge with blank check company Digital World (DWAC.O) in October and the deal is expected to close by the second half of this year.
