On Friday, April 8, 2022, Eko Innovation Center, in collaboration with GDM Group and EXMAN, will bring together innovators, entrepreneurs, technology enthusiasts, marketing and media practitioners, industry thought leaders, decision makers and marketing and media players at the inaugural edition of its Media and Marketing Hackathon marked MarkHack 1.0,

Eko Innovation is one of the leading technology hubs in Nigeria, hosting events such as Art of Technology Lagos, The Lagos Smart Meter Hackathon among others with GDM Group, Nigeria’s leading marketing and innovation company, is changing the narrative around innovation in media and marketing by hosting this hackathon to imagine and create solutions that disrupt and tackle some of the challenges we face in marketing and media today.

With over 500 people registered to participate in the hackathon and the heavy artillery of industry leaders featured as speakers, mentors and judges, MarkHack 1.0 will bring together innovators, entrepreneurs, decision makers, marketing and media professionals, for an intense period by leveraging creativity, technology. , and mentoring to create prototypes, new concepts and innovative use of technology in marketing and media.

MarkHack 1.0 will focus on the following focus areas in Media and Marketing, Consumer Experience, Consumer Engagement and Recruitment, Media Consumption, Commerce and Retail Engagement, analytics and metrics, event marketing, media monetization and content creation.

Participants will be divided into teams of 5 and will have to work together for a period of 3 weeks, brainstorming and ideas for new concepts based on their areas of interest.

Each team can pitch their ideas to a panel of subject matter experts and the top 10 teams with the most viable concepts will compete in the finals on May 18 for a chance to win the $20,000 prize pool and a acceleration program. prepare their products for the market.
