Synergy Group, one of the world’s leading ship managers, further expanded its global presence with the opening of a new office in Germany.

Located in the port city of Hamburg, a European maritime hub and a key location for German shipowners, the new office is operated by Synergy Marine Germany GmbH, a subsidiary of the Synergy group.

Captain Ravi Kohli, Managing Director of Synergy Marine Germany GmbH and veteran of ship management, heads the Hamburg-based company which offers a full range of technical ship and crew management services.

“We have seen an increase in demand for premium ship management services from European shipowners and many of the world’s leading shipowners are headquartered in Germany,” said Martin Ackermann, Commercial Director of Synergy Group. “Hamburg was an obvious base for us.

“The opening of this office further expands our global network and enables us to provide the technology-driven vessel management solutions and fleet optimization services that our customers rely on.

Synergy Group, headquartered in Singapore, now operates a diverse fleet of over 500 vessels and employs over 18,000 seafarers.

Hamburg is the 25th office in the global Synergy network which covers the world’s main shipping centers in 13 countries.
