The PTCL group wins the prestigious Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Benchmark (GDEIB) award in five categories

In recognition of its forward-looking human resources practices and work culture, the PTCL group won the prestigious Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Benchmark (GDEIB) award in five categories. This achievement highlights the Group’s position as a progressive, fully employee-centric organization with unique attributes that have also been validated previously.

Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Benchmarks (GDEIB) are global standards developed by the Center for Global Inclusion (CBI), with more than 112 experts from around the world. The standards help organizations around the world determine their strategy and measure progress in managing diversity and promoting inclusion in order to strive for excellence in their respective fields.

This year, the PTCL Group won the prestigious award in five categories, strengthening its reputation as one of the most progressive organizations in the country. Of these three; Vision, strategy and business impact; Work-life integration, flexibility and benefits; and evaluation, measurement and research were classified as proactive while the other two; DCI Communications and Community, Government Relations and Philanthropy have been classified in progressive stages.

The GDEIB, “Diversity Hub,” a center of expertise with HR Metrics, Islamabad, holds annual awards to celebrate the achievements of GDEIB organizations in 15 categories on a maturity scale of 1 to 5. Nominations for the awards are considered by world-renowned jury members in a democratic review process.

Commenting on this achievement, Syed Mazhar Hussain, Group Human Resources Director, PTCL & Ufone, said:

“We are delighted to receive exceptional recognition of the GDEIB Awards for Diversity and Inclusion at PTCL. As an organization, we believe in sustained efforts to foster gender diversity and cultural diversity and we continually strive to provide an environment conducive to these changes taking root. We are pleased to have been able to provide a supportive and fair work environment and a culture focused on growth to our diverse teams.

PTCL Group has firmly established itself as one of the most forward-looking organizations in terms of inclusiveness, fairness and acceptance. The GDEIB award is the second of its kind to recognize the Group’s credentials in this regard this year, following its success at the Pakistan Society of Human Resource Management (PSHRM) awards earlier this year.
